How to record your screen online

  1. Choose what to include. Tick Record my microphone to talk over the video, and Add my webcam to show your face in a circle in the corner.
  2. Press Start recording and pick a whole screen, one window or one browser tab. To include the sound from a tab, tick Share tab audio in the picker.
  3. Press Stop recording or Stop sharing in your browser when you are done.
  4. Play it back and download it. The video file is created on your computer and never uploaded.

Screen recorder questions

How do I record my screen with my webcam?

Tick Add my webcam in a circle, press Start recording and choose the screen or window. Your camera appears in a circle in the bottom-right corner of the video.

Is there a time limit or watermark?

No. You can record as long as your computer has memory for the file, and there is no watermark.

Why is there no sound from my computer?

Browsers only share system or tab sound when you tick the audio option in the share picker. Chrome and Edge offer it for tabs, and on Windows for the whole screen. macOS does not share system sound with websites.

Can I record my screen on a phone?

Websites cannot record the screen on phones and tablets. Use the built-in screen recorder: Control Center on iPhone and iPad, or Quick Settings on Android.
